Foulkeways is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to offer personal care services, assistance, and supervision for senior activities of everyday living. At Foulkeways Abington House, Residents receive assistance with daily needs such as medication management, meals, mobility, and other common age-related changes. Our private, one-bedroom independent and assisted living senior apartments include a patio or balcony and are large enough to accommodate couples who may wish to remain together, rather than separate, should one partner become frailer or in need of daily assistance. Our dedicated health care team provides licensed skilled nursing care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to ensure each Resident maintains the highest level of self-care.
Foulkeways’ memory garden known as the “Dream Garden” is connected to Abington House North and offers direct access for Personal Care Residents. The garden is planted with seasonal native plantings and includes landmarks with benches to stop and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, view sculptures, listen to a waterfall, or have a snack or beverage at a community table. The pathways are wheelchair accessible and are intentionally created to be white for easy navigation as you journey through the garden. Also, there is no blacktop and no steps. The oversized deck was built flush with the path to make it accessible to walkers and wheelchairs and to prevent missteps. The Dream Garden is secure and easily accessible for all to enjoy.
Personal Care Residents have the convenience of ease of access to the senior living community amenities located at the Abington House. Abington House is home to our Foulkeways library, beauty salon, gift store, Pharmacy, and Abington House dining room, which is open to all residents living on our senior living campus.
Foulkeways’ full-time maintenance crew takes care of all your resident upkeep needs including standard repairs. Our weekly housecleaning and bed and towel cleaning service also come standard.
Foulkeways provides short-term respite care for Residents at Foulkeways’ Abington House. Seven short-stay suites were designated to support our Residents following surgery, illness, or other health circumstances. Residents get the necessary skilled nursing care needed to transition back to their homes. Also, your significant other is welcome to stay at the short-term respite care suite while you recover. Foulkeways offers respite care in a relaxing environment with the assistance of the skilled nursing team and access to the Foulkeways community.
